1) Times listed are close-of-check-in. 2) Wherever the following meet information conflicts with info that is posted on askFRED.net, askFRED has priority, and will be considered to have the most up-to-date info. 3) Regarding "mixed events": W. Pa. Division sanctioned events advertised as being "mixed" must be run as "mixed", and not be split into separate Men's and Women's events on the day of the tournament.
MEET CANCELLATIONS DUE TO BAD WEATHER (OR OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES) The meet host will be responsible for determining whether a meet should or should not be held, since the host is usually familiar with the streets and roads leading to the venue, and is most likely to know the weather forecast for that vicinity. If you have pre-registered for a meet: Before leaving for the meet venue, check your e-mail and/or askFRED.net (if the meet was advertised there) to see if you've received a message that the meet has been cancelled. Whenever a meet is cancelled on askFRED, a meet cancellation notice automatically goes out to everyone who is on the preregistration list.
If you have not pre-registered for an event: You will have to determine whether the meet has been cancelled by: > Checking on askFred.net (if the meet was posted there) OR > Contacting the meet host (e-mail address as indicated on the WPD website or askFRED). We know this is a bit cumbersome, but the bottom line is this: pre-register for meets. We can't notify you if we don't know you're coming to the event.
