MEET CANCELLATIONS DUE TO BAD WEATHER
If you have pre-registered for a meet:
-- Before leaving for the meet venue, check your e-mail and/or answering machine to see if
you've received a message that the meet has been cancelled.
If you have not pre-registered for an event:
-- You will have to determine whether the meet has been cancelled by: calling the
meet host (indicated on the WPD website) OR calling the WPD Chair, Deb Theriault
(home ph. # 724-327-4159) The meet host will be responsible for determining whether a meet
should or should not be held, since the host is usually familiar with the streets and
roads leading to the venue, and is most likely to know the weather forecast for that
vicinity. We know this is a bit cumbersome, but the bottom line is this: for the winter
months, *pre-register for meets*. We can't notify you if we don't know you're coming to
the event.
